The earth is the only planet known to host life, but our home planet earth is gradually becoming inhabitable due to global warming. Burning of fossil fuel such as coal oil and gas in motor vehicles and industries produce CO2, CO, SO2, NO2 and other greenhouse gasses which traps the heat of the sun. This additional heat is increasing average global temperature which is melting polar ice caps rising sea level. As a result many costal and low lying areas would go under water very soon. The intensity and frequency of natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, hurricanes, and droughts are also increasing causing death and destruction. Again due to the increase of CFC produced by refrigerators, ACs, aerosols etc,the ozone layer is depleting which is allowing harmful UV-rays to enter our universe. This is causing deadly diseases like cancers, tumors, respiratory diseases and skin problems causing even more deaths. Many animals and plants are also going extinct due to climate change caused by global warming. If this continues then human existence on earth would be under threat. So to reduce global warming we should use renewable sources of energy like solar, wind, hydroelectric or geothermal energy instead of fossil fuels. We should at least 2 trees when each tree is cut down. More research should be done to invent eco-friendly technologies. We should be aware not to waste electricity and other energy resources. We hope that with the combined effort of the people, government, NGO and mass media we will be able to check global warming and leave a greener earth for future generations.
